modenacart	posted 01-10-2011 06:01 PM ET (US)         How is [the white all-round lamp on a Boston Whaler MONTAUK] disassembled? I need to repair the wiring in it. Thanks.
Chuck Tribolet	posted 01-10-2011 07:32 PM ET (US)             On my c.1997 boat's lamp you remove the plastic plug at the bottom, unscrew the lens, and pull up on the socket. But whaler has used several different lights. Chuck
modenacart	posted 01-11-2011 04:12 PM ET (US)             Mine has the beehive dome and is from a 1974. I am having trouble removing the electronic piece from the top.

modenacart	posted 01-11-2011 09:31 PM ET (US)             I was able to pull the socket out with some pliers. I use a torch and heated up the pole and was able to pull it out too.
