Before I haul the boat up to my dealer, I thought I'd run this by the good folks here.
When I started my engine to head home last week, I got an additional beep. After the initial, pre-cranking beep, it beeped again during cranking, which has never happened before. It stopped as soon as the engine started.
Can anybody tell me what might have caused this?

Low voltage? Just a guess.

Aha! That's entirely possible. The batteries are due for replacement.

Your manual has a reference for all the beeps and warning lights. Mine does it every now and then and is practically new. Could be battery, could be a glitch. I would not worry about it unless a light comes on or the horn stays on.
