What is the alternator belt size for a 1998 Merc 225 efi?
The dealer wont give be the belt size, just the part number..

If you have the old one, take it to the parts store. Most stores will have a belt sizer that will tell you the size. If it broke, tape it up and maybe it will hold enough to be sized.

I was hoping to know the size so I could purchase one so when I replace the old one, I had one ready to go on. It was just a time thingy.

I went to advanced auto parts and found the belt
30013 for 9 bucks, not 30 from the dealer...The original belt lasted 650 hrs, 10 plus years...
