It says on Awlgrips website that when your brushing a\545 primer to reduce with T0031. However, if you look at the post below you will see that all the experts on the forumn elude to reducing with t0006. Is this just different peoples preference? Im about to prime my boat & I want to do it correctly. Which reducer should I use?

Personally, I would trust the product label most, then the manufacturer's website, then my boating peers, (then a salesman... and so on). Unless they provide a specific reason why you should stray from the product recommendations I see no reason to do so. |

I use T0006 reducer when I`m spraying 545 primer. There is a different reducer and converter when brushing, although I am not familiar with the number for the brushing reducer as I always spray. Your probably are using the right one (T0031) There is no personal preference when using AwlGrip. There is only the right way, or else an expensive mistake. |

Thanks for the replies. Who knows why the experts on the link I found used t0006 spraying reducer when they rolled the primer. At any rate, I will go with the t0031 reduced no more then 10 percent |

[Who knows why the experts on the link I found used t0006 spraying reducer when they rolled the primer.] I bet the paint set up before they could even get it rolled out, but then ignorance is bliss. :) Glad you noticed the difference. Obviously you just assumed they were experts |
