Topic:   Removal of Yamaha T9.9EXHB lower unit cap

posted 04-28-2011 06:38 PM ET (US)         I have a Yamaha T9.9EXHB (2003) and I can not get the lower unit cap off. (The cover plate the seals the prop shaft gear/bearings.) The there is some corrosion, but with prying and pounding, nothing happens. (I have sprayed the seam down with liquid wrench, so waiting for this to penetrate.) -- There are two pry slots, but still no luck. Any ideas. Or prying tricks.
