Guys, I have very little time so I cant go into great detail.

Last night I gave a few Pieces of my boat (center console, panels and bench) their first coating of primer. I used the D8003 primer with the D9001 Primer converter. It seemed thick so I used the Alwgrip reducer a little, but now realize there is a special kind for the primer, which I dont have!!!

Heres the thing, it came out a bit thin and brush strokes are clearly visible.

I need someones expert opinion, Should I just load it on the next time, no thinner. This was it sits on thicker and will settle out better, hopefully?

I will be applying this second coat after work in just a few hours so please if you have any suggestions post them

Basically what I need to know, to any of you who have painted their boat with awlgrip using the "roll and tip" method, is if you suggest using the T0031 Slow brush reducer, on the awlquik primer can it explains to thin up to 50%.

Theres brush strokes but they'll sand out in a second with a hand sanding

If you are going to roll and tip or brush Awlgrip you need to use the correct converter and reducer and that is brushing converter and brushing reducer. If you brush with spray converter and thin with spray reducer, the paint will dry before the brush marks can level out.

Sorry for the late.

Yea that much I know, I got the brush converter and brush converter. The pieces I've started with have two coats on it so far... can't decide if it needs three or not.
Maybe I can spot prime? Maybe someone here has tried that

Not sure if this will help you. But, we sprayed primer. Then sanded. Sprayed high build and basically sanded that off. Sprayed primer once again and lightly sanded.
