Hello again. I just got my WEST System product. Can I add chopped fiberglass mat to [WEST System resins numbered] 105, 206, and 407? All of the major damaged areas are on crazy spots, like the gunwale, or on corners, none of the repair is on flat surfaces. Will [a] mixture [of WEST System epoxy resin and fiberglass mat] be structurally sound? I don't have a flat area to lay fiberglass tape or make a patch, so if I gouge out all the foam put the mixture in, fair it, and let it cure will that be good enough? Can I then sand it and apply the gel coat? Also, should the BIG holes from the transom [eyes] or bow [eye] that I removed be filled with epoxy then drilled-out to re-install the hardware? Or should I not touch them and just re-install the hardware?

Thanks again everyone!

Ted

As far as the eyes go, depends on if they were damaged to begin with. If not leave alone.
