Anyone ever remove repair or replace the deck mounted fuel gauge on a 25' revenge?

Gauge seems frozen. Tried tapping it putting a magnet against it . No thinking about removing it by the three bolts and lift out to clean. May I ask about your experience?

The gauge consists of to components, the float/sender itself and the dial capsule that sits on top of it. Which part is frozen?

The dial capsule is removed by removing by two small screws. Do not loose the springs when removing those two screws.

The dial is frozen. I did notice the two tiny Phillip head screws . researched the manufacturer of the gauge that has no limit of warnings not to remove the Gauge's mounting screws

Did you use a manual of some sort?

Huh? The gauge was made by Rochester Gauge. The replacement dial capsules are available from them. I believe you want the direct-read fractional "Senior" model.

You need only remove those two small screws that hold it in place.
I recommend some penetrating oil on those screws for a day or to before you try to back them out.

The dial capsule replacement is not a big deal. If you shear off the two small screws, it will become a big deal.
