skred	posted 12-17-2013 09:33 AM ET (US)         Could someone measure the length of the standard vertical rail pieces on a standard 1975-90 13 Sport? Distance from the top of the rail to the mounting surface (not to the riser). I have a set of rails from a 15 footer and need to trim them to fit the 13 footer. I also have seen that some folks actually lower the rail height a bit on the 13 sport. Observations?
Tom Hemphill	posted 12-17-2013 05:28 PM ET (US)             On my 1966 13-foot Sport the side rails were 11" high. I further documented dimensions at http://hemphill.org/whaler/whaler.html . I was completely happy with that height.
