Happy New Year to all. I had been wanting to add outriggers to my old Montauk for some time, and have read up on the OEM fittings and postings here e.g. from bigjohn and numerous others.
My solution might be similar to others - anyway it works for me so far and may be of interest.

Hopefully the photos are self explanatory but if not here are some basic details:
The poles are 4.55m long and of carbon (quite light and stiff, with a base diameter of approx 41 mm). They are stiffened by tension stays to the front of the bow rail, and were easy to deploy at sea (in reasonable sea conditions!).
My brother and I tested the riggers with a simulated loading from a marlin strike and found they stood up with no apparent issues. (For those offshore trollers here we use tag lines with rubber bands that break on strike, releasing the rod's line almost directly to the fish.) They also stood up to their own dead weight. Note this is all with bracing i.e. the tension stays - they are very important.
We can also raise and lower our bimini with no issues - very important here considering the Aussie sun.
We had our first trial run trolling off Sydney here yesterday and the riggers worked a treat. (We also lost a marlin just after strike - he threw the hooks..oh well...)
I appreciate this is not an OEM setup but so far it appears functional, has high quality rigging components, and I think dresses the boat up quite nicely. Also no holes are needed to be drilled in boat, something I hate doing.
So there goes, so far so good. I'm not recommending people do this, that's a choice for individuals, at their risk.
I'm just putting forward what I've done and hopefully people find it interesting.

They will work.
But they will also hasten the loosening up of the bow rails that always occurs even without the extra loading.
They are not much different from what I used to use. Currently I use a setup off the console rails which are much stiffer.
