Looking at both wood diagrams for the classic hull, the woodblocks designated by symbol "A" are shown as having dimensions of 2" x 5" long in the notes. But looking at the "View Inside" sketch, the blocks looks like they are higher than 2" and more like 5". That would mean the blocks would be 2" long x 5" high, contrary to the notes. Since the View Inside doesn't show dimensions I'll assume the notes are correct unless someone says otherwise. I am in the process of installing lots of hardware after a hull repaint. I hope to hit wood on the first try so would appreciate if anyone has an opinion or experience using the chart they could share. |

Which diagrams are you looking at? There are numerous revisions through the years. What year is your hull? |

My model is a 1968, but I am looking at both of the diagrams available for the 16/17 model in the Reference section of this site:

robrcr - Note that the scale of both drawings is indicated as "NONE" so you therefore should not infer the size of anything from its depiction. Because the drawing is not to scale, you must use the dimensions provided in the notes. Aloha. |
