I am refinishing the wood on a classic 15 SS. Several members have mentioned in the past of using a clear washer under the metal washer to keep the new finish from being "cut" when the screws are tightened. Where can these be bought? Any help will be appreciated. Tom |

I would think the big box stores might have them or perhaps these are what you are looking for: |

McMaster Carr supply carries all sizes of Nylon washers. www.mcmaster.com I suggest getting black if possible, they are more UV resistant. |

Any decent hardware store that sells fasteners in bins will have a variety of nylon washers available. Tim |

Our local Ace hardware has bins of different sized ones. Not sure if they're clear or off white. |

Any good hardware store will have plenty of white nylon washers. Why not just use a flat stainless steel washer? |
