The screws holding the hinges to the deck are loose on my Montauk. I've tried using drillable epoxy a time or two to fill the holes but the repair hasn't lasted very long. Anyone have a suggestion as to a product that might work and hold up long term?
I believe I used water-weld last time.

Perhaps the holes are not dry and the epoxy is not sticking. Try drilling the holes and leaving them to dry for a couple of weeks if possible and then reapply the epoxy.
I have used West System 105 & 205 hardener to fill screw holes and they appear to be solid. I have not drilled them back for the screw yet, that part is coming soon.

Break off a sliver of cedar wood in the hole. Then re-install screw. Usually screws tighten right up. Cedar naturally resists rot and lasts a long time.

Thanks guys. Living in Tennessee, cedar is something I am very familiar with!. May try and combine both, cedar dowel and epoxy.

My epoxy type repair did not hold long either so I looked for a more sturdy method. I got little stainless screws/bolts with a cone/phillips head. For the nuts, I drilled (or recessed) a hole on the back side of the lid a bit smaller than the nuts. Then I lightly hammered the nut in til the bolt "caught" the threads and tightened down untill the nut was pulled into the lid. Covered with epoxy and good to go.
I try to be careful when using the anchor locker not to leave rope or other things along the edge. Closing the lid with something near the hinges puts extreme strain on the hinges and the hardware holding it all together.
