1998 Outrage 17.

Would anyone know the length of the hose that goes from the fuel pick up to the starboard compartment where I have it connected to the fuel water separator.

I have the steering hydraulic hoses, shifter and throttle cable out and am thinking why not replace the the 17 year old fuel hose as well.

The markings on my current hose are:

MPI Marine Hose
SAE J1527 12/85 USCG Type A1 1997 3/8 ID USA

I looked at MPI Marine's web site and they also seem to have "PERM-GUARD A1 - 15 MARINE FUEL HOSE," should I consider the A1-15 for durability?

Pic you are going to have to take it off to replace it, so just take it down to the store (bring it with you for the measurement) when you want to do the replacement..

I don't want to take it out because I want to connect the new hose to it to run it through the tunnel.

I think I will order 20' and use the rest for the vent hose. That should give me enough for the run.

The question still remains, TYPE A1-15 or TYPE A1?

What is the difference in the two hoses? The data you linked does not seem to explain what special property the -15 hose possesses.

You want the best fuel hose out there...Aeroquip FC332-06 ADP 3/8's. In over 50 years of boating I have found nothing better...

Does the rigging tunnel in a Outrage 17, '98 drain if water goes into it?

Since most of the cables are out, I was thinking of giving it a good rinse.

What is a good source for Aeroquip FC332-06 ADP 3/8's and other sizes?

I am leaning on removing the deck cover, so might as well change the fill and vent hose too.

@contender,

What would recommend for the fuel filler and fuel tank vent hoses? Is there a premium hose that I can use rather than Shields A2?
