I'm looking for advice on mounting a kicker to my old fishing boat. It appears that my biggest challenge is finding a kicker bracket. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ron

I have a 1973 Outrage 21 and mount the 8 hp Tohatsu directly to the transom on the starboard side of the main engine. I removed the ski eye. My main engine is only a 90 Tohatsu. There is still room for a bigger main engine and I think it would be fine. While trolling if I turn the main engine hard to the right all the way The trolling engine prop has nicked the main engine prop so I don't do that. Try putting your trolling motor on there and see if it looks like it will work. It needs to be a long shaft 20" trolling motor. Boston Whaler did make a special bracket for the 21 but the chances of finding one are slim.

I had a 1978 Outrage 21 that had a bracket mounted on the starboard side. I have seen quite a few other Outrage & Revenge of this vintage with the same bracket, so I believe was a factory part. I will dig out a picture of it and email you a few pictures.
Perhaps one of the other members that has one could supply the dimensions. I don't imagine it would be too expensive to have one fabricated. It was a simple aluminum bracket.
