Can anyone tell me if the wood between z legs is teak or mahogany? Mine is so weathered and cracked I can't tell. Trying to find replacement stock before re-installing my freshly reupholstered seat and "Penetroled" z legs. Thinking of going with something 4 inches thick to raise the seat a little as well.

Jeez - forgot about the search function....

I see folks are using both. Since I can't find teak and Woodcrafters has plenty of mahogany - I'll go that route.

Sorry bout the distraction.

Since these risers are in a location exposed to lots of dirt and moisture, you may want to consider something more resistant like Plasteak. This is a manufactured product that requires no maintenance and will not rot. If you are a purest, this probably will not work. I am not and I'm using it for gunwale caps.
