Author	Topic:   Center of Gravity on a 22' Dauntless
MikMal	posted 03-27-2014 03:46 PM ET (US)         I'm getting ready to put my 2000 Dauntless 22' outfitter with a 225 HP Optimax on a lift and was wondering if anyone knows where the center of gravity on this boat is. I'd like to have it centered on the lift's bunks and figure it to be somewhere around the helm seat but that's just a guess. Just trying to keep the weight even on the lift cables. Thanks in advance!

myakka	posted 03-27-2014 05:16 PM ET (US)             You may want to talk to one of the lift installers locally, Charlotte county seawalls etc, to see what they have to say. Even a trailer company like West coast trailers may help. I do know the bunks need to be wider apart than most to accommodate the two live-well intakes on the bottom. whalerron	posted 03-28-2014 10:09 AM ET (US)             Call Boston Whaler and they will send you the Center-of-gravity drawing for your boat. I just received the drawing for my 2004 220 Dauntless with the 225 Mercury EFI 4 stroke and that drawing shows the center-of-gravity for my boat equipped with that motor to be the middle of the helm seat.
