posted 04-20-2014 09:43 PM ET (US) I am trying to clean up all the engine lines and place them in a plastic hose sleeve. I noticed my gasoline fuel line starts as rubber hose from the tank and runs to a rigid pipe that runs under the tunnel. At the other end of the pipe it goes back to rubber hose before connecting to he fuel-water separator filter. Why is this pipe here and is it needed?
Thanks Stephen

The rigid pipe is probably soft copper fuel line. This method of running the fuel lines to the engine from the fuel tank was seen on some Boston Whaler boats.
