I just purchased the tubing and O-rings from McMaster Carr. The O-rings came in a pack of 50. I'm going to pull enough out to do this project two times and will mail the rest to anyone who wants them and sends me a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Not to rain on the free parade, but you can usually source these O-rings at your local corner hardware store and for cheap. I got some at my local old school independent corner hardware store for $.03 each out if their bulk bin.

Yes, you probably can. I offered more as a convenience for those that did not want to be bothered than to actually save them a great sum of money.
