my trailer for the 13 only has 2 keel rollers a third is right up the front on the curve of the chine, have bunks either side also, the 2 keel rollers i have since changed to doubles ,to take the weight of the boat and motor better instead of welding another cross bar to put a third keel roller on can i put a roller along each side of the main trailer frame ,which would support the outer chines near the front ,i am wondering if the side chines are strong enough,or the boat needs more support near the transom or 2 double keel rollers 3 1/2 feet apart are enough support for a boat this size.

Are you putting lots of weight in the boat over the road,,My Montauk has 4 rollers and bunks under the chines to control rocking more than carrying weight |

The 13 whaler is not that heavy, make your bunks a little longer, this will carry most of the weight of the boat. You can also make smaller front bunks (come off the side of the trailer) to make the boat more stable... |

okay ,i will make the bunks go the length of the trailer cross braces ,about 3 1/2 feet ,after that the hull starts to angle upwards, save a bit of expense if i am not going to gain any thing by adding another cross brace.thanks. |
