Hi. I have parts for a wire rope steering system for a 13-footer which I bought a few years ago and want to put together. I have all the pulleys and springs, but am not sure if all the parts for the helm are all there. Also you can see that one of the parts is broken. Is there an exploded diagram of this type of system somewhere so I can see what I need? Also does anyone know if this will function with breakage you can see in the below picture?

I don't think that the piece of the casting that is broken off will interfere with the steering, as long as the wheel turns freely and smoothly.

I posted pictures of the all the parts I have here http://imgur.com/a/DBf2d#0

I think I need a large round washer or some plate to hold the nut on top of the chrome cup so it can't fall partially through or slip side to side. Does that sound correct.

Does anyone have photos of a complete set up?

Thanks for the replies so far.

The broken flange (which should be on top, not below) may a problem. Assemble it correctly and see. Here's a photo showing the parts in their proper orientations

I think I see what you mean. The pins on the flange probably engage the chrome bell which has small holes about the same size as the pins. I might be thinking teleflex about now.

The coil spring is missing in the photograph. It's used to keep tension on the steering cable.
