I thought I would post the results of my new on-deck fuel tank installation on my 1989 Montauk. The tank was made by KSH marine. It was an easy swap. I called them and provided them with the dimensions. When speaking with them they even had suggestions that were perfect. The tank arrived and is installed. 40 gallons now and no leaky fiberglass tank to deal with. This is a no brainer for those want to upgrade their Montauk fuel source. I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how to do it.

40 gal sounds nice. Please give us some of the details. Is it plastic or aluminum? Does it sit in the stern or under the RPS? How does the cost compare to other options. I have been considering the white Moeller for our older Montauk.

Re. photo posting, here is my understanding of the process:

1. Upload the photos to the hosting space provided by your ISP or to a commercial hosting service. I use Photobucket:

http://photobucket.com

2. Copy the photo link URL and paste it into your reply.

3. Bracket the link with url tags: (URL)(/URL). Instead of curved brackets on the tags, use square brackets, i.e., []. Your link will look something like this:

(URL)
http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae243/jsmith294/Cushions%20etc/ IMG_0795_zps5e2ac89c.jpg(/URL)

... with square brackets, of course. Sounds a little complicated, but it's not. Takes longer to describe than to actually do. Not having the photos hosted here and displayed in-line makes ContinuousWave MUCH faster than a site like Hull Truth.

Looking forward to seeing that tank and installation!
