I have an '86 15' super sport that has what I call " crazing"( small surface cracks ) over the majority of the deck including the textured area. How have any of you guys dealt with the cracks prior to painting? Especially in the textured areas. I will also take any suggestions on type of paint for the top side keeping true to the original color?

There are only two options, live it them as is, or completely grind the gelcoat down to the green fiberglass and regelcoat / paint.
Anything you paint or coat over the cracks with it fail within 12 months or less.

Jeff is correct. Even if you use a marine filler, the spider cracks will return.

In order to fully assess this kind of detail, photos of the surfaces will be needed.
There will be a time where the polyester resin or gelcoat has been so numerously cracked that a total removal will be the only solution.
I have been repairing this kind of material with a non re occurring of fissures before.
Definitely not the shake and bake type of repairs as patience and premium materials will be a must in order to redress this type of breakdown.

Egres I sent some pics to your email in hopes of getting a recommendation on a repair process.

If you use an epoxy primer prior to painting, you can thin it out to water-like consistency and it will fill and seal the spider cracks. There is no need to take it all the way down to bare fiberglass. You WILL need to remove the non-skid and then use Intergrit or a similar product in the paint for non-skid.
Did this 6 years ago on a 22 Outrage and still looks good. Non-skid has been touched up a few times due to boat alterations.
