jwestwood	posted 07-29-2014 03:10 PM ET (US)         I have a 1974 Outrage 21. When I got the boat it had twin saddle tanks under the aft gunwales that were vented just forward of the tanks. The main fuel tank vents way forward of the internal tank which requires a substantial length of tubing to run under the port side gunwale to get to the vent. If I were to vent the main tank aft to the vent that was previously used for the port side saddle tank, I could get rid of a lot of tubing that currently exists. My question: Would such a change be deleterious to the proper venting of the main fuel tank. By the way, the saddle tanks are available if anyone is looking.
dfmcintyre	posted 07-29-2014 06:57 PM ET (US)             Jim - During our renovation, we vented the main tank behind the mahogany piece that is on the port side, right where the old vent tube went under the floor plate and up the port side. Regards - Don
