Maybe a look and close reading of an article in the REFERENCE SECTION with many illustrations showing exactly how varous Trim Tabs are mounted on the transom of various Boston Whaler boats might be helpful. See

As for the routing of control lines, either electrical or hydraulic hoses, there is an option to either drill a hole for them in the transom or to run the lines or hoses up and over the transom. I do not think that Boston Whaler supplied any classic 18, 19, 20, or 22-foot hulls with Bennet Trim Tabs installed at the factory.

I have refitted several 22's from the commercial group with Bennett tabs that came through the hull. It's has been too long since those projects and I cant remember how they did the transition from the copper tube to the plastic hose or how it was routed to the pump. I would also like to see their exact placement of the tabs.
This current project is a 22' Work boat with the forward pilot house. I fear having the balance point this far forward is going to make the boat very sensitive to pitch and yawl so the tabs will be more of a requirement than a luxury. I found a good set of 18"x 9" that should do the job.
Does anyone have this application they could photo?
