For those of you who have replaced leaking fuel tanks- what were the symptoms? My tank seems to be making water. There is no fuel odor present anywhere in the boat, yet the water-separating fuel filter has about 4 ounces of water in it for 4-5 gallons of fuel used, sometimes worse. I am going to run down the fuel level as low as possible and then pump the tank to make sure.

I'd be interested in other people's experiences prior to replacing the tank.

I will replace my boat fuel tank in the winter. 98 Outrage 17.

The evidence of a leaking fuel in my case was very clear, fuel in the fish locker while the tank compartment plug was out. The boat was on it's trailer with the bow slightly raised.
