I filled the lower engine mounting holes before painting the boat. There were no lower holes in the interior side so I assume lag bolts were used. The top holes are drilled 1 1/8" below top of transom which is higher than usual. I would like to avoid using lags for nthe bottom bolts.

What to do??

You can build a plate, the plate/or a channel shape alum. would bolt to the transom in the correct holes (so you can through bolt all four bolts) then on the other side four bolts to the engine, The plate would like be an off set/bracket of about 3-4 inches. Can not think of anything else Im not to knowledgable with the 15
