[What is] the purpose of stainless loop in the forward storage on a 1995 Boston Whaler TENDER 11? Thanks

When you say loop, do you mean about a pencil size hole, or a lifting ring size? The small hole is to attach a cord to the bottom of the hatch/wood/cover to keep it in place.

My whaler is a [1995]. The lid is wood and has hinges, and the small (pencil size) loop is on the leading vertical wall ( same as hinges). Inside the storage the wood lid has no holes for any previous hardware. A Whaler-owner-cruising friend secured anchor line with his. My first Whaler. I have had many boats since my first in 1955. I love this little rig since motor upgrade to 20 hp Bumping 30-MPH.

I got an 1978 11 Whaler in a trade, Last year I redid it, Its now Fighting Lady Yellow, with an Oyster interior, I sanded down all the non skid, and put my own down. I had a custom 10 gallon fuel tank built out of alum that fits under the front seat. I built a console and put a teleflex steering head with a stainless wheel (holds the compass, kill switch, and the fuel fill as well). I raised the transom one inch using fiberglass (looks factory) and I got a 2 stroke 25 hp Yamaha with a stainless 4 blade prop. Any ramp I take it to I get plenty of kudos.
