Does anyone have any pictures of a Newport with the cap removed?

I'm looking at a Newport that needs work and am considering converting it to a newtauk before I do that I was hoping someone had a few pictures of what it looks like under the cap. There are a few threads on newtauks but no work in progress picks. Thanks

To create a New-Tauk you will keep the Newport cap in place.

If you remove the cap you are creating a Montauk. The problem is, to put the Newport cap on, whaler had to remove chunks of the forward triangular bow steps to install the cap so, you would need to repair those areas.

Thanks Jeff I did see the notches under the bow cap. Do you know if there are any other modifications to the basic hull other than I figure about 20 extra screw holes.

Yes, those two notches are the only "modifications" they did at the factory to fit the cap on.
