The last time I was out, I opened up the HONDA BF250 for the first time in over a month. When I first got the HONDA BF250 engine, it would run at around 6,200 RPM and 48 to 49-MPH. Last time out when I opened it up, it eked out 5,400 RPM at 42 to 43-MPH, a pretty severe drop-off in performance. I'm at 107 hours on the engine now, so I looked at the maintenance schedule to see what's due; spark plug maintenance at 100-hours. That shocked me, as my 2006 ETEC 225 went over 300-hours with no spark plug problems.

While trying to find spark plugs, I stumbled upon this thread on the internet [about short spark plug life on the HONDA BF250] and found others having the same problems at 35 hours. Has anyone else here had the same problems [related to short spark plug life or bad spark plug coils]? I know there are several members here with HONDA BF250 engines. Has anyone noticed a severe drop-off in engine RPM and efficiency?
