What is the preferred sealant these days for fastening things like bilge pumps and their switches which sit in saltwater a lot, yet need to be removable for repair? I would have thought silicone, but I think I remember reading it is not recommended for underwater applications (or was it just saltwater?) The mind boggles at the number of different kinds of goop available. |
