We recently purchased a 2008 Montauk 150 which came with the bait tank just forward of the engine. We're going to be using this mostly as a tender to our 36-foot Uniflite, so we are thinking of removing this bait tank and filling the holes left. Has anyone done this, and if so, how many holes are left to fill?

Wish I could follow you lead, I have a 2008 190 which comes with that bait well which I absolutely hate due to the space it takes up. My removal would require fiberglass reconstruction and building out the deck towards the stern. The newer 190's don't have this problem as the bait well is removable and the deck is built all the way back. |
