Hello. I have a 1985 SUPER SPORT 13 I found in a barn in excellent shape. We re-powered it with a new Yamaha 30-HP four-cycle engine. I am interested in mounting a transducer to the hull. Not sure about mounting to the hull. Has anyone used a product called Stern Saver? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks JIM

I am certain many owners of Boston Whaler boats have used the STERN SAVER or similar products to create an intermediate surface for mounting SONAR transducers.
I believe the inventor of the STERN SAVER is a Boston Whaler boat owner who participates in these discussions. See

I recently mounted a SternSaver on my 22' Outrage. Have yet to mount the transducer. Easy installation. I bought it at West Marine. Highly recommend. Good luck!
