Several years ago I converted a 1994 17 Standard to a center console. Found out that in 94 the rigging tunnel was in place under the deck, just glassed in. On the 94 there was a cover over the well where the console would be located. I have found a mint 98 Standard and would like to do the same. Issue is that there is no cover/well located forward for the console. Anyone have any info/source to determine if there is a rigging tunnel under the 98 deck?

Is there a rigging tunnel outlet into the rear sump area in the cockpit floor in front of the Splashwell? If so, I would imagine there is a tunnel all the way under the deck. |

There is not, but there was not on the 94. Both ends were glassed in and had to be cut out by the Whaler dealer. That dealer has since closed so can't get info from them. |

Try asking Chuck Bennett at Boston Whaler. |
