I have a 2012 Mercury 90 EFI FourStroke on a 2012 Boston Whaler 170 Montauk. The ignition switch has fallen apart. After trailering the boat home I found the inside cylinder (which accepts the key) hanging from its wiring harness inside the console. I have found no parts on the floor of the console. Has anyone else experienced this? How is the ignition switch put back together? I can put it back inside the receiver but can't see a nut to hold it in place. There is also a cover with writing on it on the outside. I am not sure if I can just pry that off. A diagram or advice would be very helpful. Thanks |

Since your Boston Whaler boat is only three years old, perhaps your Boston Whaler dealer can provide a remedy at no cost. At the least, they'll have any part you need to reinstall the ignition key switch to its mounting location Search for a diagram or drawing of a Mercury ignition key switch with this LINK. |
