What is the current best replacement tank(s) to use under a classic console (e.g. 1968 Sakonnet)?

It appears the venerable Tempo 12 gallon tank has not been produced for a while. The current Moeller 12 gallon tank is a bit too wide. Moeller has a red 24 gallon and a white 22 gallon tank that will fit but that leaves little room for fuel line, steering, and wiring coming up from the tunnel.

I'm not seeing an obvious winner here and could use some help, thanks,

Steve

Rocket: The best tank for under the console would be a custom Alumium tank built out of .125 thickness. An alum. tank will last a live time and can take any kind of fuel. You can have the tank built any size and shape you dream, You can place your vent, fuel fill, gauge, fuel pickup on any place of the tank to fit your console/needs. Build one out of carboard to give youself an Idea, and place your vents, pickups where you want. Any good welder can do this up for you. I use DriDec as a mat to go under the tank and a manual gauge. DriDec, Keeps the tank dry and cushions it as well...You will not be sorry

Correct! Build it out of cardboard. Design to YOUR specifications. You will provide measurements to builder. They will reproduce a Computer Aided Design ( CAD ) you will be returned for your approval and final authorization, of which you will be responsible.

Coast Guard Approved, I have had custom tanks built successfully by:

RDS Aluminum, Purrysburg?, Florida. Mention Jersey Speed Skiffs.

Sunshine Tanks, south Florida and SeaCraft owner.

Speedy Tanks, Bayville, New Jersey.

Listed in personal preference unless a classic SeaCraft. Shipping can be a factor...
All have working websites.

For the record the 12 gallon Attwoods available at Wally for $110 fit nicely!
