I own a 2006 150 SPORT. I have the wood locating diagram. With a stud finder I am detecting backing material in two locations along the gunwales between the back of the seats and the outside corner of the curve to the transom. The wood locating diagram only depicts a single location for backing material in this gunnel area. If you own a 2006 Boston Whaler, let's chat. Thanks

Thanks for mentioning your use of a STUD FINDER to help locate embedded wood reinforcement in the hull of your Boston Whaler boat. That sounds like a good method. I do not recall it being mentioned before.

The stud finder tip was from a phone call to Boston Whaler customer service. Been a while since I've been on your forum.--Take Care

Problem Resolved. I called Boston Whaler customer service. Chuck said that Boston Whaler would have very likely put 1/2-inch plywod backing in this area. Furthermore, I was told NOT to install cleats within the plywood area, but rather only rely upon the Phenolic locations as noted in the Wood Locating Diagram
