Rail-Mounted Horizontal Rod Rack

Hello all. [Is a rail-mounted horizontal rod rack] available as a commercial product? Space on my little Boston Whaler boat is limited. I'm seeing that the best way for me to store my rods during transport would be horizontally mounted on the rails. The only thing I've found is this "h-rail" rod holder for Hobie kayaks:
Anyone know of such product for boats? Thank you!

Which Boston Whaler boat do you have? Do you plan to tow your boat with you car and have the rods hanging from this? You are better off laying the rods in the bottom of the boat and tying them together. Your product you listed is not a bad idea and looks like it should work. I like having the rods in vertical rod holders (easy to get) but then you have them in the way when you fish. I built a custom console to go in my 16-foot Boston Whaler boat. The console holds eight rods vertical. I like it because it is in the center of the boat, out of the way, and [the rods] are easy to get to.

Thanks for your input. I have a Dauntless 15. If I find something sturdy enough, I'd keep my rods there while towing. I currently lay my rods down on my bags and will install a vertical rack on the console if this idea doesn't work.

I believe there is a product called "Rod Tender" or similar available from on-line stores such as Bass Pro and Cabelas which may be useful to you.

Hi Butch - thank you for your input.
The "Rod Tender" seems to be a rod holder for use while fishing. I am looking for something that will allow me to store rods in a horizontal position while under way. Many fishing boats have the under the gunwhale racks but with the limited space on my 15, I am looking to get the rods up around the rail area.
I've ordered two of the Hobie "racks" and will report back with how they work out.

I was thinking of adding something along these lines to my 15 SS. Like the fact that I can move it around the boat if need be.

Sean, those are nice, thank you for the suggestion. I considered those but would prefer to keep the rods under the rails. I know I'd be stubbing my ankles on the holders / rods if they are down there.
