[Seeks] a source for an inexpensive, as-close-to-OEM-as-possible windshield. [Seeks advice] on repair of crazing in the Plexi-glass.

The best source of OEM parts for Boston Whaler is from a dealer, and the dealer that seems most interested in helping owners of older Boston Whaler boats is TWIN CITIES MARINE in Wisconsin.
Sue Lodel is a good point of contact at at Twin Cities Marine in Two Rivers. I think their telephone number is 920-793-2715. It may also be possible to have a plexiglass windscreen custom made by someone local to you.
Crazing may be possible to remove by using a fine abrasive and lots of buffing. Try a GOOGLE search on "repair plexiglass crazing."

You can order from Sue. She gives great service yes, but you can order directly from UPD the windshield manufacture yourself. Many people here have used them and are very satisfied with their product.

I recommend the Medium Bronze as it's closest to OEM.

1/4" tinted plexiglass windshields. Replace your weathered windshield with a brand new custom replacement today.
All windshields are custom built. Windshields can be mounted directly on top of a flat surfaced console or with our mounting clips. Can also be made to attach on the side of your console. If you currently have a damaged windshield in place, it is quite easy to measure the old one to ensure we are provided with the proper dimensions at the time of order. If you have any questions on measuring your console for a proper fit, contact William at 855-901-4599, option 3. Make sure to take all measurements carefully. All windshields are custom built and made to order and cannot be returned due to incorrect measurements.
Choose your item correctly based on the width of your console. Place order and note dimensions in seller instructions. Yes, the windshield for your 1977 is the same as a 1976 and 1978.
UPD's listing of models and years is terribly confusing....
