Hello. I am [seeking a] source to buy a guard for [the splash well of] my 1994 Boston Whaler OUTRAGE 24. I have seen some [guards for the splash well of a 1994 Boston Whaler OUTRAGE 24] on GOOGLE IMAGES that enclose the area on each rear corner where the oil tank might be and then splash guard in the center. I am not sure if [such a splash guard] was an option when [the 1994 Boston WHaler OUTRAGE 24 boat was] new, or if these were custom fabricated, or if these were aftermarket. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Where can I buy them? |

I do not think that in 1994 Boston Whaler was offering an optional accessory for their OUTRAGE 24 boat that was some sort of guard or dam that raised the transom height to prevent ingress of seawater into the splash well. If you are skeptical that we MAY NOT know what you are trying to describe, why don't you give the URL to the image that is on GOOGLE IMAGES that shows the device you are asking about? If you give us the URL to an on-line image of the device you are asking about, then we can also see that device and be able to learn what device you are talking about by seeing the same image as you saw when you decided you were interested in finding a source of those devices. Until we can be sure we are all talking about the same device, it seems premature to ask for recommendations of where to buy the device. I might give you a recommendation to buy the device I think you are asking about, and it might turn out that you'd be buying a Krellman Bar instead of the device you are really seeking. |

Thanks for clearing up what you were asking about. I had a completely different concept in mind. I recommend you contact Boston Whaler customer service and ask them about this component. I don't know if that was a factory option part or just something that owner fabricated. |

I had the same thing on my 1997 Outrage 21. It was a factory part- not sure if it was standard or optional equipment but definitely factory. The non skid pattern and general design matched the other hatches precisely. It was attached with hinges on the bottom so the hatch could fold down toward the engine and lay horizontal over the rear splash deck. I removed it from my boat when I first purchased it. The latches holding it when vertical rattled like crazy and the thing just seemed to get in my way. Rich |

Thanks RTK, I thought it looked very well put together for home made. I will call boston whaler and try and get some info on it. |
