For the past two years I have been restoring a 1981 B/W Frontier 25'. I'm nearing completion. However I would like to add a fiber glass anchor pulpit to the bow. Boston Whaler tells my they were never offered as an option. However I've seen lots of photo's of the 24' Outrage that have nicely fitted pulpits installed. I believe that the frontier hull is the same as the Outrage 24'hull, anyone know for sure??? If indeed they are the same I could use a 25' Outrage pulpit. Anyone got a lead on such an animal? Thanking you in advance Tom

I would think the frontier would be closer to the 25 Outrage.I know there are pictures of lhg's 25 Outrage with a pulpit and his 18. I think there was a thread about pulpits made of mahagony. Good luck! Ed Stone |

For the 25' models, a teak bow pulpit option was first offered in 1986, with rail extension, and factory installed only. I have this on my 25, and somewhere buried in the forum, JimH has inserted a link showing a detailed picture of mine. See other pictures on mine in Cetacea pages 1, 8 & 11, and also the Rendezvous section. The Revenge series had a fiberglass bow pulpit option, also factory only. This can also be seen in Cetacea section. I doubt if you are going to be able to come up with one of these as a separate part. You might be able to fabricate and install your own teak pulpit, if you can find a 25 that has one, to duplicate the installation. I think there are also aftermarket pulpits available. Whether these could be adapted to a 25' Whaler is anybody's guess! |

I think it would actually be fairly easy to make one of these. I thought about it for my 25, but decided against it. Ultimatly, if I could not have a hawse-hole for the chain, I would not leave my anchor up there anyway. |
