I have a 85 hp Bearcat (Fisher Pierce) and am searching for a water pump impeller... I was able to find ones for the 55hp (Homelite/Bearcat) at Globe Rubber Co... The 85 uses the same size impeller, excepting for the shaft size is 3/4" vise the 55's 5/8"... Anyone know where I can locate a 2" X 7/8" with 3/4" keyed shaft impeller.???

You probably have already tried this, but in case not, let me mention Ed Ewing, the 80-year-old longtime owner of Economy 4 Cycle Marine of Redding, California. He refurbishes Bearcat engines and sells them with a one-year warranty. He might have the answer for you.
I spoke to Ed while researching my article ( http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/history/bearcat.html ) on Bearcat engine history. He seems like a great guy. Recently he put up a website. See:

Well the current staus is, the folks in Minn have only 55hp parts (no 85 hp)... Left a voice mail with Ed Ewing... The guy I spoke with at Twin City mentioned a group called "Save the Homelites" out in Los Angeles.... I couldn't find anything about them on the web... Anybody heard of this group.???

Thanks much for the lead to http://www.4cyclemarine.com/ .... Ed Ewing just called me back and sold me his very last water pump impeller... You are right in that he is a heck of a nice guy to talk with... He's got a brand new lower unit too but, didn't have a price on it (wanted to save it for someone really in need of one)... Thanks again for the tip that resulted in a huge success for me... Is it Whalers that make people so great or is it great people that have Whalers.??? (or both)
