Believe it or not I can not get a straight answer from Merc dealers, Whaler Dealers with regards to the proper prop. I would rather not take several test props this spring and keeping trying. Is anyone running simular set up for Ocean fishing and cruising?

Thanks

John, suggest you mount motor up at least two holes (mounting bracket holes) and then try a 19" stainless and a 21" stainless for good hole shot and max revs at 5250-5300rpm trimmed up with light load. Some 75's will spin the 21 some won't... happy Whalin.. clark.. SCN

Thanks, that sounds like a plan.

A 20" Merc Laser II would be nice, with great bow lift if it will turn it, otherwise a 19" performance prop like a Rapture or Stiletto would be fine. Speed would be about 40 mph.
