I recently outfitted my 13 Sport to serve as my duck/work boat. I gutted the entire boat, dried the hull, repaired damaged glass and sanded the entire jel coat to prep for paint. I installed a teleflex system and then had to convert the boat to a center console because I messed up and got the rack system instead of the round one. Anyways, the center console set-up is awesome and I am glad I made the mistake.
Back to my question. I finished the project last year and have used the boat 20+ times duck hunting and fishing/crabbing. I recently left it in a 10 acre pond at my friends' ranch for a few weeks. We were using it for dog training. I pulled it out last week to take on a fishing trip and the hull now looks like it has goose bumps. There are little blisters everywere the hull was in the water. Does this mean I sanded to deep in the gel coat and I will have to sand it down and spray on a new coat of gel coat or is this from another problem? Any advise would be great as long as I don't get chewed out for painting it green! HA...Thanks

One other note, The teleflex holds on to the 50hp 1973 Merc. The center console balances the weight beter than the side console. I run a 15 gallon aluminum tank under the bench forward the console. I think this set up was aftermarket but, it originally had a pedestal pilot seat. After the cable to teleflex switch I strongly recommend all you guys with cable in your whalers switch. It is sooo much safer. My dad bought this boat in 1980. I'm now 28 and it is still my favorite and the old Merc just won't die!!!
