jstachowiak	posted 08-08-2003 06:39 AM ET (US)             The OMC 4 strokes are made by Suzuki. There have been numerous comments about these motors. I have a 2001 Evinrude 4 stroke 70HP and so far (35 hours) love it. Quiet, no smoke, starts first turn of the key every time.

I was the mechanic and was rarely called, even though regular maintenance was a concept that was new to the owner since previous engines did not last long enough to need regular maintenance. Go for it!!!
