BOB KEMMLER JR	posted 09-08-2003 12:51 PM ET (US)      How is your performance and fuel consumption?Do any of you have the TLDI?I am going to replace the old twin cyl 40 on my fathers 13 with a new 40 nissan PT&T 2 strk,15" shaft.How is the static trim?Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Martman	posted 09-09-2003 08:44 AM ET (US)             Bob, I've got a '62 13 w/ a 40HP'96 Tohatsu (20" shaft). With just myself in the boat stern sits low, but the ride is nice. I've installed a 14 gallon under the front bench seat to help balance out the boat. With dog, wife, 2 small kids, surf board and cooler loaded up, the boat jumps up on plane and the ride is comfortable (as much as can be expected with a small boat). I was running a Tohatsu 12.5 pitch but am now running with a Nissan 15 pitch stainless. I usually cruise at around 22-25mph but can get close to 40 mph with just me in the boat. Marty
