Hey Gang,
I have restored an '82 Newport that has a 115 Ficht...It runs great with a 17 stiletto, but I want to try a 4 blade...I am not sure what size to start with, we mostly ski with the boat, We are getting about 51 mph off of the GPS, but the holeshot is so..so We had a 15 pitch stainless and it was unbelieveable out of the hole, but would over rev around 3/4 throttle...Anyone run a 4 blade on a classic hull??? Don't want a 4 blade on a 17'. If you want a better holeshot, have vent holes drilled in your prop. This allows for a better hileshot but once on plane it does not effect performance. 3 blades are faster than 4.
