2nd Chance Whaler

posted 08-15-2004 10:33 AM ET (US)         I just purchased a 1994 Boston Whaler 90 OMC Jet. This is my first Whaler and first Jet experience. On the first trip out I had problems....the boat would never plane off out of the hole and porpused real bad. About 700 yards from the dock after killing the motor and restarting it the heat alarm went off. There were no other indications that the motor was hot, and after a few minutes, the boat started back up without any problems so I just brougt it in. I have done a compression check and the compression is good. Does anyone have any suggestions on the overall performance of this boat and has anyone had problems with overheating, or false heat alarms? HELP!
