posted 11-20-2004 07:39 PM ET (US)         I was walking around the harbor this afternoon and spotted a pair of Verado 250's on the back of one of the local tribal patrol boats, a 1997/26-28 ft Whaler w/ hardtop cabin. I was surprised that the boat was not sitting lower in the water. It was level with the engine well drains. That thing should fly with 500 ponies on the back of it. The boat did have a pair of Merc 225 EFI's of it. They must have money left in the 04 budget to make the change, I would doubt that the old engines would have had more than 150 hours on them becaus ethe just do not use the boat that much.
