Yamaha Model Designation

Imbedded in the model number is the horsepower and year of the engine.
For example:
If your model number is 115TRR your engine is a 1993 115hp engine.

The first numbers are the engine hp.
The last letter corresponds to the year listed in the chart below.
1984(N) 1985(K) 1986(J) 1987(H) 1988(G) 1989(F)
1990(D) 1991(P) 1992(Q) 1993(R) 1994(S) 1995(T)
1996(U) 1997(V) 1998(W) 1999(X) 2000(Y) 2001(Z)
